OH MY GIRL member Mimi unveiled her distinctive investment philosophy. She drew attention by candidly sharing that while she has profited from "tangible" investments like gold accessories, she just can’t bring herself to trust stocks.

In the April 21 episode of the web variety show Salon Drip, Mimi and comedian Ji Suk-jin appeared as guests and shared a fun, free-flowing conversation.

The video first dove into their shopping habits around discounted items. Ji said, "Even if the shoe size doesn’t fit, if it’s 80% off, I’ll buy it," adding, "My size is 270, but I bought 285. When I wear them, I walk like a clown," drawing laughter. Mimi, however, kept it real: "I don’t buy things I can’t wear just because they’re on sale. Even if I do, I end up not wearing them, leaving them around until they turn into trash." She went on to explain that she usually adds what she wants to her cart first and then filters things out one by one.

What really went viral was her love for gold. When Ji asked, "Didn’t you nail the investment since gold prices have gone up so much?", Mimi answered, "I used to buy a little at a time. Back then, no one cared, but now that it’s rising, people around me say I must have made a lot." She continued, "I invest in what I can see. I like physical assets," firmly adding, "I don’t trust stocks." She made it clear she prefers assets she can check with her own eyes.

Meanwhile, Mimi and Ji Suk-jin are also appearing together on the Netflix variety show Manhakdo Ji-ssi. Manhakdo Ji-ssi is a program that explores the world’s curiosities alongside experts from diverse fields.
