Former Wanna One member and AB6IX's Lee Dae-hwi sparked laughter with a shocking best-friend story, revealing just how close he is with Jeon Somi.
On the April 29 broadcast of MBC's variety show Radio Star, Lee Jong-hyuk, Yoo Sun, Jeon Somi, and Lee Dae-hwi appeared and shared a range of stories. Jeon Somi drew attention by saying, "Dae-hwi used to come and go from my house a lot," and, "He would even make the trip on purpose even though it's far."
Lee Dae-hwi surprised everyone by adding, "I went so often that there was even a time I punched in the passcode and let myself in." He continued, "Her parents were on the first floor and Somi was on the second. We were hanging out in her room when I sensed someone coming upstairs. It turned out to be her parents," explaining what happened then. He added with a laugh, "Once they confirmed it was me, I got a light smack on the back and a scolding," and, "Later, the three of us even sat down and talked together."
Their real bestie dynamic also shone through. When Kim Gu-ra asked, "Couldn't you just talk it out over the phone?" Jeon Somi replied, "We might have a long talk on the phone, but we always end up meeting in person to really work it out," making everyone laugh.
On how they became close, Lee Dae-hwi said, "Back when I.O.I was active, she was my direct senior, so we had a lot to relate to." He added, "When I shared worries with male colleagues, I'd often hear, 'Just endure it,' but Somi genuinely understood me." He then expressed deep trust, saying, "She's someone I can't live without in my life."
Meanwhile, Jeon Somi and Lee Dae-hwi each made brief returns as members of I.O.I and Wanna One, respectively, after a long time.
