Keigo Higashino’s bestselling novel ‘Namiya General Store’ is being adapted into a Korean drama, with a large ensemble cast confirmed for the project.
On the 30th, Disney+ confirmed production of the original series ‘Miracles of the Namiya General Store’ and unveiled a 20-member cast lineup.
‘Miracles of the Namiya General Store’ follows three petty thieves who take shelter in a long-closed general store and begin replying to letters that mysteriously arrive from the past, triggering a chain of events that connect different timelines.
The three thieves will be played by Kang You-seok, Park Jung-woo, and Kim Sung-jung, while Ryu Seung-ryong appears as a central figure tied to the store. The lineup also includes Kim Hye-yoon, Moon Sang-min, and Lee Chae-min, along with Yoon Kyung-ho, Park Hee-soon, and Oh Na-ra.
In addition, Yum Jung-ah, Yum Hye-ran, Jung Chae-yeon, and Jang Dong-yoon will make special appearances.
The original novel has sold more than 13 million copies worldwide and is known for its emotionally driven, interconnected storytelling.
The series is currently targeting release next year.
