In a surprising move, girl group FIFTY FIFTY will make their acting debut in the short-form drama Banggwahu Toema Club, slated to premiere on Kitz in May.
Taking a bold step into acting, FIFTY FIFTY star in Banggwahu Toema Club, a high-teen occult comedy about five distinctive high school girls who band together to banish lingering spirits haunting their school. The series blends a perky, upbeat vibe with intriguing mystery elements.
The project also ties into FIFTY FIFTY’s musical universe. Producers said they infused each member’s real-life personality and charm into the characters to boost realism and audience immersion.
In the story, Kina transforms into Na Jinsim, an exorcism ace who can see ghosts but ranks at the bottom of the class. Moonshanel plays Wang Sora, an athletic special admit who protects the team with standout physical prowess. Yewon takes on Choi Woosu, a perfectionist and top student with razor-sharp senses who anchors the plot. Hana portrays Geum Joyeon, an eccentric yet lovable broadcasting club member, while Athena becomes Jo Ayoung, the daughter of a local bigwig obsessed with the occult. Each member showcases a distinctly different charm.
The series is directed by Jung Joo, known for striking visual flair. Jung has built a unique directing style through numerous music videos, including BTOB’s "You Can’t Cry" and MeloMance’s "Greed," raising expectations for fresh visuals and inventive storytelling here as well.
Banggwahu Toema Club will be released via the short-form platform Kitz. All eyes are on the members’ first-ever acting outing to see what synergy and brand-new charms they’ll unveil.
