The viral K-drama delivered another shocking cliffhanger at its midway point, ramping up the buzz with a jaw-dropping reveal.

In Episode 7 of ENA’s Monday–Tuesday drama scarecrow, which aired on the 11th, the true identity of key figure Lee Yong-woo—who had long fueled the show’s tension from the shadows—was unveiled, and the real culprit behind the serial murders was finally exposed, leaving viewers stunned.

In this broadcast, the perpetrator behind the serial killings that terrorized Gangseong 30 years ago was revealed. Lead investigator Kang Tae-joo (played by Park Hae-soo) zeroed in on Im Seok-man (Baek Seung-hwan) as the prime suspect, tightening the net. Im Seok-man seemed to fit the profile based on multiple pieces of evidence, including a rare blood type and radioactive isotope test results—but it was all a cleverly laid trap.

The real killer turned out to be Lee Gi-hwan (Jung Moon-sung), the elder brother of Lee Gi-beom (Song Geon-hee) and the owner of a bookstore. Hiding behind a kind face, Lee Gi-hwan had skillfully evaded investigators, even manipulating old prison records and erasing his traces with chilling precision—fooling viewers along the way.

Right after the reveal, online communities and social media exploded with reactions like "I got goosebumps when Jung Moon-sung’s eyes changed," "His acting is downright terrifying," and "He’s on a whole different level this episode."

With this game-changing twist launching the drama’s second act, all eyes are on what other shocking turns scarecrow will deliver in the remaining episodes. The series airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m.
