Comedian Shin-young Kim reveals her personal healing-food routine to beat a cold, serving up a delightfully down-to-earth day.

On the May 15 broadcast of MBC's variety show I Live Alone, viewers will see Kim's ultra-relatable homebody life after she returns from her radio schedule. Having already earned empathy with 14 years of living solo, she once again draws attention with her lived-in, everyday charm.

Even while under the weather, she declares, "If I'm sick, I gotta eat!" and pulls out a giant mixing bowl to whip up her own restorative feast. She starts with a vitamin-packed, sweet appetizer, introducing it as "food that works like medicine." Teasing curiosity, she calls it a "folk remedy passed down from my grandmother."

Then comes the full-on sweet-and-savory course. After a first round mixing stir-fried anchovies with rice, she levels up to a second plate loaded with gochujang, vegetables, fish cakes, and glass noodles—unleashing an epic mukbang. Proud of her signature recipe, Kim laughs, "The food I love is the real healing food," sparking laughs.

Mid-bite, though, she suddenly sets down her chopsticks and starts packing away the leftovers. "There's a moment when you have to stop," she says firmly—raising questions about what made her pause.

She caps it off with an ice-cold dessert, Kim-style. Anticipation is already high for her full "sweet-and-savory healing course" recommendation.
