Shocking and heartfelt—actor Yoo Seung-mok was moved to tears by his daughters’ sincere words, as revealed in a preview for tvN’s variety show You Quiz on the Block, where he opens up about his family and long-held emotions.

In the newly released teaser, Yoo Seung-mok shares personal stories, revealing: “I have two daughters, 28 and 24,” adding, “The eldest is a social worker, and the younger works as a pet groomer.”

The preview also features a letter from his firstborn to her father. It reads, “When we were young and money was tight, you played with us with all your might instead of buying toys,” recalling winter days when he pulled them on sleds down hills and sunny afternoons spent riding bikes together.

Most strikingly, she wrote, “You gave me a life money can’t buy. If I get married someday, I want to meet someone who plays with me like you did.” Hearing this, Yoo Seung-mok couldn’t hold back his emotions and teared up. He remembered, “Those were the days I pulled the sled on hills and played with them by the stream.”

Yoo Seung-mok also shared a touching memory of a small note from his daughter. On a busy filming day, he found two 10,000-won bills on the dining table with the message, “Buy yourself something tasty.” He revealed, “I still keep that note framed,” expressing his deep affection for his family.

Recently, at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards, Yoo Seung-mok won Best Supporting Actor in the TV category for the JTBC drama The Dream Life of Mr. Kim, marking a meaningful milestone 36 years after his debut. He thanked his wife right after the win and later shared that, during a phone call, she couldn’t speak for a while and just cried—leaving a lingering impact on viewers.

From long years of obscurity to finally being recognized as an actor—and the family who stood by him—the story is set to deliver powerful emotions. Yoo Seung-mok’s appearance on You Quiz on the Block airs on the 20th at 8:45 p.m.
