BTS have once again made history on the global music charts.
According to the latest charts released by U.S. outlet Billboard on the 27th, the title track ‘SWIM’ from BTS’s 5th studio album ‘Arirang’ topped the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for a third consecutive week, marking their seventh No. 1 this year.
In particular, ‘SWIM’ landed at No. 10 on the Global 200, remaining in the top 10 for over two months. On the main songs chart, the Hot 100, it ranked No. 55. It also placed No. 16 on Adult Contemporary, No. 12 on Pop Airplay, and No. 17 on Adult Pop Airplay. On the Radio Songs chart, it rose three spots from last week to No. 26.
The album ‘Arirang’ has held No. 10 on the Billboard 200 for nine straight weeks, while also ranking No. 4 on Top Album Sales and No. 17 on Top Streaming Albums, showcasing strong performance across multiple categories.
Global fans are celebrating BTS’s run, flooding social media with reactions like “Proud to be ARMY” and “A seventh No. 1 is incredible.”
Meanwhile, at the American Music Awards on the 25th, BTS took home three trophies, including Artist of the Year.
