The long-awaited BL live-action adaptation that’s been trending since production was announced finally drops today (28).
The short-form drama platform Lezhin Snack amped up anticipation by unveiling the second poster for Painter of the Night ahead of its first release.
Painter of the Night follows the dangerous romance between a rakish nobleman, Seungho Yoon (played by Kang-jae Kim), who stumbles upon a stash of erotic paintings, and an erotic painter, Nakyum Baek (played by Min-seo Ji).
Based on the globally popular BL webtoon of the same name, each new teaser has drawn explosive attention from fans of the original. With skepticism about the live-action and sky-high expectations coexisting, all eyes are on whether Painter of the Night can win over the mainstream.
Meanwhile, Painter of the Night premieres today (28) at 5 p.m. on Lezhin Snack.
