Wavve’s original survival variety Piui Game X has dropped its first cast lineup, and the buzz is instant. With standout players from Seasons 1–3 reuniting, fans are stunned that Season 3 champion Jang Dong-min is nowhere to be found.
Set to premiere in July, Piui Game X is the latest installment of the Bloody Game series, where sharp minds and elite physiques collide in extreme survival battles. This season shifts from solo play to a team format, with each season’s top representatives forming squads to face off.
On the Season 1 team, inaugural champion Lee Tae-gyun returns. Adding even more intrigue, longtime studio panelist Lee Sang-min is stepping in as a player. His leap from observer to contender could be a major wild card. Baseball gold medalist Jung Keun-woo (2008 Beijing Olympics) and announcer Park Ji-min, who made an impact in Seasons 1 and 2, also join.
The Season 2 squad is just as stacked. Led by perfect CSAT scorer and Season 2 winner Lee Jin-hyung, the team features former basketball star Ha Seung-jin. Poker player Hyun Sung-joo and rapper Yoonbi round out a unique mix.
For Season 3, survival legend Hong Jin-ho leads the charge. Joining him are Seo Chul-gu, influencer Choi Hye-seon—an alum of Durham University (UK) graduate school—and KAIST AI researcher Heo Seong-beom, assembling a powerhouse built for brain games and psychological warfare.
However, Season 3 champion Jang Dong-min is absent from this first lineup reveal. Given his dominant strategy and gameplay in previous seasons, his omission has left fans disappointed—and wondering if he might still join in later announcements.
The newly released teaser also turns heads, showing contestants blindfolded and bound to chairs as the franchise’s signature 'chair escape' mission returns, cranking up the tension.
Producers further teased that, beyond each season’s representatives, contestants from other survival programs and brand-new challengers will join as separate teams—so eyes are on the next round of cast reveals.
Armed with a bigger scale and the game-changing team format, Piui Game X will stream exclusively on Wavve this July.
