Actors Joo Sang-wook and Son Naeun are set to unveil shocking transformations in the SBS drama Manager Kim.
On the 4th, the Manager Kim team dropped character stills of Joo Kang-chan (played by Joo Sang-wook), who clashes head-on with Manager Kim (played by So Ji-sub), and Sang-a (played by Son Naeun), a colleague hiding many secrets.
Joo Kang-chan is a man who started out as a hired thug and clawed his way up to become the chairman of Juhak Construction, trying to solve everything with money and violence. In a sauna, he reveals burn scars covering his body and a razor-sharp gaze, exuding a fierce presence. Joo Sang-wook explained his casting choice: "The power of the original webtoon and the fast-paced plot that never gets boring were so compelling that I decided to join. The many shades of villainy embodied by Joo Kang-chan felt fresh and intriguing, so I took on my first antagonist role."
Son Naeun takes on the role of Sang-a, a mysterious colleague at the same company who lends Manager Kim a hand. In the stills, Sang-a keeps a close eye on Manager Kim’s seat, hinting at her enigmatic nature. Sharing her thoughts on joining, Son Naeun said, "I was curious about Sang-a, a character with many secrets. It was exciting to try a new genre, and above all, I looked forward to acting alongside the director and senior actors."
Meanwhile, the 10-episode Manager Kim premieres on the 26th at 9:50 p.m. KST and will also be available on Netflix.
