Actress Oh Hye-soo shocked fans by belatedly revealing she got married and had a baby, sharing a rare life update after a long silence.
On the 21st, Oh Hye-soo took to Instagram, writing, "It's really been a long time. Over the past few years, so much has changed in my life."
She continued, "I met my life partner and started a new family, and I met precious beings who completely changed my world," confirming her marriage and childbirth. The photo she shared drew attention, showing Oh Hye-soo spending time with her daughter on a grassy lawn.
Oh Hye-soo also explained why she had been largely inactive. "My everyday life began to fill with entirely different colors," she wrote. "Through that process, I learned and grew a lot, and I was able to reflect on myself as a person, not just as an actor." She added, "As time passed like that, I naturally left my activities—and this space—unattended for a long while." In short, marriage and parenting brought major life changes that led her to pause public communication.
Her passion for acting, however, hasn't faded. Oh Hye-soo emphasized, "I still love acting, and I want to greet you with good projects and my best self as an actor going forward." She also hinted at more updates, saying she plans to share "various stories from my life and experiences here, little by little," not just as "actor Oh Hye-soo."
Debuting in 2017 with the web drama SEVENTEEN, Oh Hye-soo later appeared in the Netflix original series All of Us Are Dead and the ENA drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo.
After a long hiatus and a life-changing chapter of marriage and motherhood, all eyes are on how Oh Hye-soo will return to the spotlight as an actor.
