Seolhyun Kim, formerly of AOA, is back on YouTube after roughly four years, revamping her channel and reopening direct communication with fans.
Recently, Seolhyun jump-started her return by uploading a New Zealand travel vlog to her channel, which currently has about 84,000 subscribers.
The revamp answers longtime requests from fans who have been waiting for her vlogs and everyday-life content. Comments on past videos and across social media repeatedly read, "Please come back" and "We want more vlogs," reflecting steady interest from both Korean and international fans.
Through the renewed channel, Seolhyun signaled she wants to connect more closely with fans. Beyond appearing only through scripted roles, she plans to share what she truly enjoys, unfiltered moments from ordinary days, and the emotions she experiences while traveling—without the flashy gloss.
The first upload on the refreshed channel is a New Zealand travel vlog, capturing scenery and moments through Seolhyun’s perspective. She plans to roll out more travel, daily-life, and taste-driven content in sequence, meeting subscribers regularly.
Seolhyun will also present wellness-focused content centered on caring for and loving herself. Through this, she aims to convey not only the side of her as an actor but also her natural charm and bright, positive energy as a person.
With the channel revived after about four years, it’s poised to become a new, tighter bridge for communication between Seolhyun and her fans. Her unadorned daily life, travels, and personal tastes are expected to showcase a different appeal from what viewers have seen in her acting projects.
Meanwhile, Seolhyun will return to the screen later this year in the Netflix series Tantara (working title).
