Ravi, the former VIXX member who sparked controversy over a military draft-dodging scandal, has released a new track and returned to the music scene.
On June 22, Ravi dropped his new digital single 'Nyeok' across major streaming platforms.
It's his first release in three years since the 2023 draft-dodging allegations. The song captures a flow of time and the spectrum of emotions one faces in life through his own lens.
Previously, while serving as a social service worker, Ravi was embroiled in allegations in 2023 that he colluded with a military service broker in 2022, posed as an epilepsy patient to obtain a false diagnosis, and attempted to evade duty. He was indicted and received a one-year prison sentence suspended for two years, then completed the remainder of his service as ordered by authorities. He was officially discharged on December 13 last year.
In March, Ravi shared on Instagram: "When I needed to reflect and hold myself accountable, I shamefully asked for understanding by blaming my personal situation and environment. I once again apologize to those who were hurt by my wrongful actions, and I will keep learning and disciplining myself to live as a better person."
