Singer-actor Park Ji Hoon’s Vietnam fan concert has sparked outrage over the organizer’s sloppy on-site management.
On the 19th and 20th, Park held the Asia fan-con tour ‘2026 Park Ji Hoon Fan Concert [Reflect]’ in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. The event promised highly interactive segments, including a talk corner, hi-bye session, group photo time, and a signing event, raising fans’ expectations.
However, during the show at Quan Khu 7 Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on the 19th, the organizer’s lax control ignited controversy. Fan accounts poured in alleging staff roughly shoved attendees and responded rudely, and even the route for the artist–fan greeting session was poorly guided, causing major confusion. As a result, many fans couldn’t find Park Ji Hoon’s location to greet him—while he was left looking toward an empty aisle alone. That moment spread in videos, fueling fans’ anger.
Adding fuel to the fire, some fans also criticized subpar audio, claiming the organizer argued with on-site attendees who protested and then unilaterally stopped posting official updates.
As the backlash grew, the organizer FANSTAR released a statement on the 20th via its official social media. “We received feedback regarding on-site operations and responses to some attendees. We sincerely apologize to everyone who had a poor experience at the venue,” they said. “We humbly acknowledge shortcomings in both the attitude and handling by the staff in charge and deeply reflect on this.”
They continued, “The staff member at the center of the issue has been suspended from all projects for the next three months, and we have initiated internal disciplinary procedures,” pledging to retrain the entire staff and reorganize the team to prevent a recurrence.
Meanwhile, this fan concert marked Park Ji Hoon’s first tour in about seven years since his 2019 Asia tour ‘360’—which is why the organizer’s complacent handling is leaving a lingering disappointment among the public and fans alike.
