Lee Hyun of co-ed group 8Eight has officially renewed his contract with BIGHIT MUSIC, extending one of K-Pop’s longest-running artist-agency partnerships.

On the 8th, BIGHIT MUSIC announced that it had signed a new contract with Lee Hyun. The label stated, "It’s deeply meaningful to continue our relationship with an artist who has been with us since the very beginning," adding, "Grounded in the strong trust built over 19 years, we will keep actively supporting Lee Hyun’s musical activities going forward."

Lee Hyun also cited trust as the key reason for re-signing. He shared, "BIGHIT MUSIC is my musical home and my strongest partner," adding, "As before, our deep trust and respect for each other made it possible to work together again." He continued, "I want to meet the fans who wait for my music more often," and promised, "I’ll broaden my activities and create more chances to connect through music. I want to be remembered as a singer who never stops singing."

Lee Hyun debuted with 8Eight in 2007 after signing an exclusive contract with Big Hit Entertainment, the predecessor of BIGHIT MUSIC. 8Eight earned love as a representative co-ed vocal group of the late 2000s with hits like 'Without a Heart' and 'Trying to Stop Those Lips'.

He didn’t stop at group activities, either. In 2010, he formed the duo HOMME with 2AM’s Lee Changmin and scored a major hit with 'Eat Well' ('Bapman Jal Meokdeora'). As a soloist, he solidified his position with 'You Are the Best of My Life'.

Meanwhile, BIGHIT MUSIC is home to BTS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and CORTIS.
