Racing model–turned TV personality Ji Yeon-su sought advice from a fortune-teller about her chances of remarrying.
On the 20th, a video featuring fortune-teller Park Sung-joon as a guest dropped on Ji Yeon-su’s YouTube channel. Ji discussed her marriage luck and the overall direction of her life with Park.
“I wondered if the choices I made were wrong,” Ji admitted. “I don’t regret them, but I don’t want to repeat those choices going forward. I just want a steady, peaceful life.” Park analyzed, “You have strong personal standards and may lack a bit of flexibility.” He added, “In the ‘husband’ position, you tend to attract someone more like a friend. That’s comfortable when things are good, but when they aren’t, it can spark combative energy.”
When Ji asked, “Is there someone in that husband spot?” Park replied, “The range of men who truly fit you is extremely narrow.” He explained, “If most couples can make it work with a compatibility score of 50, you’re the type who needs at least 70–75 to form and sustain a relationship.”
For remarriage, he recommended someone who feels easygoing and respectful—more of a friend than a macho, domineering type. He also advised, “It’s best to meet someone transparent, whose actions you can clearly understand.”
Still, Park warned that dating and remarriage won’t come easily. “When you meet men, you may need to lower your bar a little,” he said. “At a fundamental level, you quickly notice flaws and have a critical side, so if something rubs you the wrong way, you tend to cut the relationship off.” Ji confessed, “I’m not someone who opens up easily, so I’m strongly inclined not even to create those opportunities.”
Park suggested checking compatibility if she meets someone she truly likes, but then bluntly added, “You don’t have an eye for men,” leaving Ji visibly deflated.
Toward the end, Park said her fate points to continuing her career regardless of marriage. “You’re built for work—very active, with strong drive. When a partner contributes this much, you feel you should contribute about that much, too. A build-together approach suits you,” he added.
Meanwhile, Ji married Eli, formerly of U-KISS, in 2014 and they have a son, but divorced in 2020. Eli recently announced he has remarried.
