Comedian Kim Ji-min has personally announced her pregnancy.
On the 30th, Kim shared a pregnancy test and an ultrasound photo on her social media, revealing that she is expecting. "In 2025, last year, we became forever two, and in 2026, this year, we became the three we dreamed of," she wrote, expressing her joy. She added, "A beautiful life has found its way into my small belly," and even revealed the baby’s nickname. "So gratefully, as if waiting just for this day, 'Durup' came to us on the first try," she explained, sharing that the baby’s nickname is Durup.
Kim said she became pregnant after her first round of IVF. "It was our first IVF cycle, which I started while leaning on my husband, who kept telling me not to overdo it and not to rush," she said, thanking her husband, Kim Jun-ho.
She was candid about preparing for the procedure. "I spent about two months focusing first on making my body healthy," Kim said. "Thanks to the doctors, I finally took time to really take care of myself for the first time."
Through that process, she said she felt newly grateful for her own existence. "I thought, I must also have been the precious child my mom desperately wished and prayed for, and with that gratitude and self-reflection, I think I tried even harder," she shared.
She also added a lighthearted behind-the-scenes moment, saying she wanted to proceed with IVF immediately after receiving good results on every test. "I still laugh at how I hurriedly insisted, 'Let’s do IVF right now,' worried the professor might change their mind," she recalled.
Kim explained why she hadn’t shared the news earlier. "So many people asked, but someone like me, who usually isn’t tight-lipped, managed to keep this secret all thanks to Durup," she said. "Now that I’m safely into the stable period and can finally say it out loud, I think I’ll sleep easy tonight. Now, the two of us, Neukkim, Nari, and Durup — it feels like we have the whole world," she added, expressing her happiness.
Kim Ji-min and Kim Jun-ho first connected as senior and junior comedians at KBS and confirmed they were dating in 2022. The couple tied the knot with a wedding in July 2025.
