Shocking surge: As the KBO League ushers in an era of 10 million spectators, SBS—the powerhouse behind hit sports dramas—is moving to ignite another frenzy on the small screen.

On the 23rd, the team behind the new SBS drama full count confirmed Kim Rae-won and Park Hoon as the lead cast.

full count dives into a ruthless survival battle to seize the one-and-only throne of professional baseball: the manager’s seat. Kim Rae-won plays Hwang Jin-ho, the acting manager of the popular KBO club ‘Stars’. A former catcher-turned-battery coach (for pitchers and catchers), he spent most of his playing days as a backup. Suddenly promoted to the acting manager position—a true poisoned chalice—he throws himself into a do-or-die survival game, wagering everything he has.

Facing off against him, Park Hoon transforms into Cho Dong-hee, a legendary ‘Stars’ pitcher and the frontrunner for the next manager. Despite a glittering career, he carries a glaring void: he never won a championship as a player. He’s set to reveal unfiltered ambition in his drive to claim the manager’s throne.

Meanwhile, after the 2019 smash hit Stove League, SBS is unveiling its first baseball drama in eight years with full count, slated to air in 2027.
