Actor Shin Jae-ha is reportedly reuniting with Seo In-guk in a brand-new K-drama, sparking buzz over an “epic bromance” comeback.
According to a report by YTN Star on the 23rd, Shin Jae-ha will appear in the new drama Office Worker Who Sees Fate.
Based on a popular web novel of the same name, Office Worker Who Sees Fate is an office fantasy about a protagonist born to become a shaman who fights to dodge a spirit-calling ritual and live as a normal office worker instead.
Shin Jae-ha is said to play Lee Hyung-joon, a third-generation chaebol and the head of a securities firm division with flawless visuals and overwhelming wealth. While he seems to have it all, he hides a painful family history, making him a layered character. In moments of crisis, he’s repeatedly helped by Choi Young-hoon (played by Seo In-guk), and the two are expected to showcase tightly bonded, emotionally charged bromance chemistry. The reunion comes 11 years after their 2015 drama Hello Monster, sending fans’ expectations soaring.
Earlier this month, Shin Jae-ha wrapped The Shining on the 3rd, where he portrayed hotelier Bae Sung-chan. His mature melodrama performance—holding onto a decade-long, aching first love and still cheering on his counterpart even at the brink of goodbye—left a deep impression. He also proved his powerful presence in the 2023 hits Crash Course in Romance and Taxi Driver 2, where he delivered chilling villain turns that flipped the narrative on its head.
Following the casting news, netizens reacted with comments like “They’re a perfect match,” “Love how he never takes a break,” and “Big role with a potential love line? Can’t wait,” fueling the hype.
Since his debut in the 2014 film This is the End, Shin Jae-ha has showcased a wide acting spectrum, moving seamlessly between good and evil with each project. All eyes are now on what new, career-defining character he’ll create through Office Worker Who Sees Fate.
