Actor Choi Won-young is going viral for a hyper-realistic office boss portrayal that viewers say is "PTSD-inducing," cementing yet another career-defining role.

Choi raises the stakes every weekend on JTBC’s Sat-Sun drama We Are All Trying Here (hereafter 'Mojamussa'), playing Choi Dong-hyun, the head of the film company Choi Film. Dong-hyun embodies the classic bully-who-buckles-to-the-powerful type, a small-minded leader who feels inferior to competent employees — and Choi delivers it with chilling realism.

From his very first scene, Choi nailed Dong-hyun’s infuriating vibe, sketching a cunning office survivor who measures people with a cold, calculating yardstick. His inferiority complex toward employee Byun Eun-ah (played by Go Youn-jung) is the character’s core. With dagger-like glances, snide one-liners tossed off without a blink, and bursts of explosive anger that overwhelm his target, Choi masterfully controls the tempo to ignite viewers’ outrage.

After Hwang Dong-man (played by Koo Kyo-hwan) storms in and causes a scene, Dong-hyun fails to find a proper outlet for his frustration and ends up yelling at the “easier target,” Eun-ah — a moment that strips the mask off far too many real-life bosses. And yet, you can’t fully hate him, because his barbed takedowns often carry painfully accurate truths. Choi captures that razor’s-edge duality, pushing viewers between loathing and reluctant agreement.

Showing yet another face through 'Mojamussa,' Choi stamps his presence with pinpoint diction, nuanced intonation, and mercurial emotions. He’s thrillingly assertive even in front of Hwang Dong-man, then suddenly gets outplayed and shows bumbling, human flaws — a three-dimensional performance that electrifies the drama.

Meanwhile, the word-of-mouth hit 'Mojamussa' airs on JTBC every Saturday at 10:40 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 p.m.
