Singer Lyn directly addressed why she spends so much time in the bathroom, clarifying the reason behind her unusual daily habit.
On June 9, Lyn guested on SBS PowerFM’s Cultwo Show, where she discussed the bathroom-centered routine that went viral after her appearance on the SBS variety show My Little Old Boy.
During the broadcast, a listener asked, "You seem to stay in the bathroom for a long time—why is that?" Lyn replied, "It’s warm, but more than that, it’s the smallest space in my home, so I feel incredibly at ease there." She added, "A lot of people worry about cleanliness. I clean the bathroom once a day," then admitted, "I know it might still seem unhygienic, but strangely, that place feels comfortable to me."
Lyn explained it’s more than just a habit. "If I’m suddenly in a large space, I feel like panic might set in," she said. "I feel stable in small, cozy spaces." DJ Kim Tae-gyun empathized, saying, "Sometimes being in the bathroom feels like having my own cave." Lyn nodded in agreement: "‘Cave’ is the perfect word. It’s cozy."
Earlier, on the June 7 episode of My Little Old Boy, Lyn revealed the home where she’s been living alone since her divorce. Viewers were shocked as she grabbed a snack right after waking up and sat on the bathroom floor to eat, and even read, knitted, and practiced singing in the bathroom.
After the broadcast, reactions were split—some were amazed by Lyn’s routine, while others voiced concerns about hygiene.
Meanwhile, Lyn married ISU of MC the Max in 2014 and divorced in August of last year. At the time, her agency stated, "The two amicably finalized their divorce after sufficient discussion and mutual respect, and neither party is at fault."
