Singer Lyn got candid about life after her divorce, recalling her ex-husband, MC the Max member Lee Soo, and sharing the raw emotions she has been carrying.
On the SBS variety show My Little Old Boy, which aired on the 5th, Lyn appeared alongside her close friend, singer K.Will. The two visited a moxibustion therapy room to recharge and opened up in a relaxed setting.
K.Will joked, "We’ve been friends for so long, but this is our first time lying down together," drawing laughs. Their chat naturally shifted to marriage and family.
Lyn asked the unmarried K.Will if he had thoughts about marriage. He replied carefully, "I’m not against marriage," but added, "I just felt like you end up facing all kinds of unexpected situations once you start a family."
Speaking from experience, Lyn shared her perspective on marriage. "I chose divorce, but I still recommend getting married," she said. "I was truly happy. Our marriage left behind something beautiful at its core."
She then opened up about her feelings toward her ex-husband, Lee Soo. "Before he was my husband, he was my very close friend," Lyn said. "It’s not just that my husband is gone — it feels like I lost a real best friend. That’s why it feels so regretful and sad."
As she continued, Lyn couldn’t hold back tears. "We didn’t part on bad terms, so I’ll always cheer him on," she added, expressing a calm, supportive message to Lee Soo.
Watching from the studio, Lyn’s mother looked heartbroken. Shin Dong-yup empathized as well, saying, "You feel that way because you two got along like close friends."
Meanwhile, Lyn married singer Lee Soo in 2014 and finalized their divorce last year.
