A lawyer who previously analyzed the legal dispute between comedian Park Na-rae and her former manager—and even predicted an outcome favorable to the manager—has now been officially retained as the ex-manager’s legal representative.

Recently, attorney Jang Hyun-ho of Law Firm Gangsim announced in a video on his YouTube channel that he has taken on the case.

Jang said, "Last year, I uploaded a video covering the dispute between Ms. Park Na-rae and her manager. After watching that video, one of the managers contacted me to ask that I serve as their legal counsel," adding, "After review, I decided to take the case."

Regarding the current dispute, Jang explained, "The two sides’ claims diverge significantly, and parts of the evidence remain unclear, so there is considerable room for contention," noting that a fierce legal battle is underway. He continued, "I will do my best for the client who trusted me with the case," while emphasizing, "The previous video was an analysis made before I became legal counsel." Back in January, Jang drew attention with a video analyzing Park and her former manager’s dispute that used a thumbnail implying the manager would ultimately win.

Meanwhile, on the 10th, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station referred Park Na-rae to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office on charges of special assault and violating the Information and Communications Network Act. The case began after two former managers filed complaints last December, alleging that Park verbally abused them at a drinking gathering and threw a glass, causing injury.

Separately, police are also investigating allegations that Park received illegal medical procedures from a so-called "injection aunt" (an unlicensed provider).
