Actor Goo Seung-hwan shared an emotional conclusion to his 446 km cross-country trek, undertaken in memory of his late dog, Kkotbooni.
The April 24 episode of MBC’s ‘I Live Alone’ will feature the final chapter of his 16-night, 17-day journey from Cheonho-dong in Seoul to Gwangalli Beach in Busan. He began the walk following the loss of his pet.
Throughout the journey, Goo carried reminders of Kkotbooni, including a keyring attached to his backpack and a bracelet made from the dog’s old harness. At difficult moments, he was seen holding or kissing the bracelet.
The final stretch presented physical challenges, including heavy rain, strong winds, and steep inclines. Goo also experienced fatigue and pain in his back and legs during the walk.
At one point, while standing in the rain, he said, “Kkotbooni, see you later,” and became emotional. In a later interview, he shared that the loss of his dog, whom he had lived with for 11 years, had been deeply difficult.
During the trek, Goo lost approximately 12 kg. He also received assistance from emergency services at one point but continued the journey. Before reaching his final destination, he stopped at a barbershop as part of preparing himself for the last stretch.
The episode airs on April 24 at 11:10 p.m.
