The dispute between broadcasters Park Ji-yoon and Choi Dong-seok has expanded into a defamation investigation.
According to a report on the 28th, the Seogwipo Police Station in Jeju is investigating Choi Dong-seok over allegations of spreading false information related to Park Ji-yoon.
The investigation reportedly began after multiple complaints were filed regarding online posts containing false claims. During the process, several individuals were identified, with Choi Dong-seok among those mentioned.
Police stated that the investigation is ongoing and that further details cannot be confirmed at this stage.
Choi Dong-seok’s side denied the allegations, stating that no official notice has been received. They also claimed that he had previously been questioned as a complainant in relation to a separate defamatory post.
The two have been involved in multiple legal disputes, including divorce proceedings and related civil cases. Earlier this year, a court dismissed claims filed by both sides, and the case is currently under appeal.
Park Ji-yoon and Choi Dong-seok married in 2009 after meeting as announcers and have two children. News of their separation first emerged in October 2023.
