Actor Tang Wei has announced she is pregnant with her second child, drawing a wave of warm congratulations from fans.
On the 29th, Tang Wei wrote on her Instagram, "It's a big surprise, but I'm very happy. There will be more little horses at home." She added, "Everyone is looking forward to it. Thank you for your attention."
Along with her message, Tang Wei also shared a photo of herself holding a toy horse, giving off a vibe that seemed to hint at her due date. The phrasing is being interpreted as a nod to this year being the Year of the Red Horse.
That same day, her agency stated, "It is true that Tang Wei is pregnant with her second child." However, they did not disclose details such as the baby's sex or the specific due date.
Speculation about Tang Wei's pregnancy ignited on the 27th during a brand event held in Shanghai, China. After the line of her belly was spotted, local media ran with reports and speculation. She later acknowledged it herself, confirming the news as fact.
Born in 1979 and now 46, Tang Wei rose to global prominence with the 2007 film Lust, Caution. In 2011, through the film Late Autumn, she met director Kim Tae-yong, and the two married in 2014. After welcoming their first daughter in 2016, Tang Wei is now expecting her second child 10 years later.
