The long-awaited global hit is officially back — the second chapter has dropped the curtain and launched full-scale filming.
On the 18th, Disney+ announced that the new series Moving Season 2 (hereafter ‘Moving 2’) has cranked in. ‘Moving 2’ is a human action series that follows superpowered individuals who returned to everyday life after the climactic ‘Jeongwon High School incident’ and now face a new threat, forcing them into a decisive battle to protect the people they love once again.
Once again, creator Kang Full — whose perfect blend of genre thrills and humanism captivated audiences worldwide — returns to pen the script after Moving and Light Shop. Director Kim Sung-hoon, known for Netflix’s Kingdom, newly takes the helm, succeeding Season 1 director Park In-je.
The star-studded cast lineup is taking shape. Powerhouse performers from Season 1 — Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo, Jo In-sung, Cha Tae-hyun, Ryu Seung-bum, Go Youn-jung, Kim Do-hoon, Kim Sung-kyun, Shim Dal-gi, Moon Sung-keun, Kim Jong-soo, Park Byung-eun, Kim Shin-rok, Lee Ho-jung, Park Gwang-jae, Kim Guk-hee, Kim Hee-won, Shin Jae-hwi, and Park Han-sol — are all confirmed to return in force. Joining them are impactful scene-stealers Seol Kyung-gu, Lee Hee-jun, Ryu Hye-young, Roh Yoon-seo, Kim Sung-kyu, Kim Geon-woo, and Choi Yoon-ji as major new faces.
The biggest buzz this season centers on the recasting of Kim Bong-seok. Rising actor Won Gyu-bin has been finalized for the role beloved in Season 1. Won Gyu-bin, who earned notice for steady acting in the 2025 drama Bitch X Rich 2, steps in following Lee Jung-ha’s temporary departure for military service — a move expected to inject fresh energy into Season 2.
Meanwhile, Moving shattered records upon release, setting the highest first-week viewership for a Korean original on Hulu in the United States and sweeping across Asia, igniting a full-on K-hero phenomenon. Riding massive global anticipation, ‘Moving 2’ will stream exclusively on Disney+.
