Shocking: Park Bo-gum’s Malicious Commenters Found Guilty, Fined ₩2 Million

Several authors of malicious comments targeting actor Park Bo-gum have received criminal fines.

On the 23rd, Park Bo-gum’s agency The Black Label announced in an official statement: "Some of those who created and spread malicious posts about Park Bo-gum have been found guilty and fined ₩2 million (approx. US$1,450). Another perpetrator was deemed guilty during the police investigation and has been forwarded to prosecutors."

The Black Label said it has been taking continuous legal action against malicious posts through fan reports and its own monitoring, adding, "We will continue to pursue strong legal measures against illegal acts such as malicious rumors, insults, defamation, and the spread of false information directed at our artist."

The agency also thanked fans for their patience and support, saying it will keep them updated on the progress and results, and asked for continued reports of wrongdoing.

Despite the agency’s hardline stance, fans rallying behind the star are calling out ongoing malicious commenters, with reactions like "Hate comments are a crime" and "Respond with maximum severity."

Meanwhile, Park Bo-gum is gearing up for the release of the film Canvas of Blood.
