Former WINNER member Song Min-ho’s first trial over alleged violations of the Military Service Act is set for next week.

According to legal insiders on the 18th, the Seoul Western District Court’s Criminal Division 10 will open the first hearing on the 21st for Song Min-ho and his duty supervisor, Mr. A, on charges of violating the Military Service Act.

Prosecutors allege that from March 2023 to December 2024, while serving as a social service agent (alternative military service), Song missed 102 days of work without authorization — roughly a quarter of the 430 mandatory reporting days. His supervisor, Mr. A, has also been indicted for allegedly neglecting oversight despite knowing about Song’s absenteeism.

The court initially scheduled the first hearing for March 24, but it was postponed to the 21st of this month after Song’s side, through legal counsel, requested a change of date.

Song debuted with BoM in 2011 and re-debuted with the group WINNER in 2014. He later rose to greater fame as the runner-up on Mnet’s Show Me The Money 4 in 2015 and appeared on tvN’s variety show New Journey to the West, among other activities.
