tripleS member Kim Chaeyeon made a shocking on-air confession that she has been single since birth — and unexpectedly bonded over it with trot singer Park Seo-jin.
On a recent episode of KBS2’s variety show Mr. House Husband Season 2, Kim appeared as a special guest and showed off her candid, unfiltered talk.
Spotting Park Seo-jin, Kim immediately teased, “We have a lot in common,” sparking curiosity. She explained, “First, we debuted the same year.” Born in 2004, Kim worked as a child actress before her idol debut, appearing in dramas like Hur Jun, The Original Story, The Queen’s Classroom, and Ugly Alert.
She then drew attention by revealing another shared trait — being “single since birth.” Kim admitted, “I’ve never dated,” to which Park quipped, “Being 23 and single since birth is fine. I’m 32 and single since birth,” sending the studio into laughter. Kim shot back playfully, “Maybe that makes you even more special,” keeping the mood warm and friendly.
Comedian Ji Sang-ryeol, who watched their exchange, joked, “What is this, an aliens special?” He added, “If you’ve been single since birth until 32, doesn’t rusty water come out when you shower?” ramping up the laughter.
