On the June 21 episode of JTBC’s Please Take Care of My Refrigerator, actor Kim Dae-myung stunned viewers with a dramatically slimmer look — sparking shocked reactions on set and viral buzz. Appearing alongside Namgoong Min to promote KBS2’s upcoming drama The Husband, Kim showed off a razor-sharp jawline that had everyone talking.
From the moment he walked in, all eyes were on Kim. Unlike the warm, approachable image he showed in dramas like Misaeng: Incomplete Life and the Hospital Playlist series, he arrived looking noticeably leaner. Cast members couldn’t hide their surprise, exclaiming, "You look so thin" and "You’ve lost a lot of weight."
Addressing his weight change, Kim explained, "I gain or lose weight depending on the role." MC Kim Sung-joo reacted with admiration, saying, "So you do that too, Mr. Kim Dae-myung." Kim then cracked up the studio with a witty punchline: "Because I got paid." When Ahn Jung-hwan joked, "Do you usually set the price per kilogram?"
